Windom Police Department reported on the 25th of March at approximately 3:30pm an officer received a call from dispatch of a young male that was threatened with a gun in the 1400 block of 17th Street and it was reported that people with the guns left in a car. The vehicle was headed into town on River Road from the 1400 block of 17th Street. After an investigation, an arrest was made of two males as follows: a 19-year-old Windom Male for Threats of Violence-a-Felony-threatening another, directly or indirectly, to commit a crime of violence with purpose to terrorize another; and Ineligible Person in Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition-possessed ammunition when convicted of a previous crime of violence. Also, a 22-year-old male of Steger IL, for Threats of Violence, A Felony, threatening another directly or indirectly, to commit a crime of violence with purpose to terrorize another. On the 27th Kwik Trip reported a theft that occurred on the 25th at 11:33pm. The theft was someone had taken food our of the store without actually scanning the items, but pretending to. Total amount stolen was $11.51. The matter remains under investigation and review by the Prosecuting Attorney.

The Annual Windom Lions Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast that was cancelled due to weather last weekend has been rescheduled for Sunday April 7th. This Sunday come enjoy this free will donation feast at the Windom Community Center located at 1750 Cottonwood Lake Drive from 9am to 12:30pm.

The Lutheran Social Services (LSS) Meals has released their April Menu. According to Windom LSS Meals Site Coordinator, Kelly Kleven this second quarter will be bringing some new meals to the menu. LSS Meals offers dine-in at the Windom Community Center at 11:30 am Monday through Friday, or meals can be picked to go at the site or people can take advantage of the Volunteers of Meals on Wheels that deliver meals between approximately 11am and Noon. Kleven went onto say each meal is a suggested donation of $6 per meal for diners aged 60 and over or what they are able to afford. Diners under the age of 60 must pay full cost of the meal, which is $9.25. The meals are planned by a licensed dietician and include an entrée and two sides along with a dessert, bread and milk.
