During the Windom City Council meeting on Tuesday, councilmembers reviewed a report about this year’s Citywide Cleanup. City Councilmember Jenny Quade says overall, Citywide Cleanup went pretty well this year.
Quade says for the most part people complied with the new 10 large items on your front yard guideline, but there were a few areas where people didn’t follow the new rules…
Quade adds that Hometown Sanitation was nice to leave flyers for those not in compliance…
The report the City of Windom received said there were 46.1 tons taken to the landfill this year for Citywide Cleanup. The Windom City Council thinks they’ll do the Citywide Cleanup the same way again next year with maybe some tweaks based on any input they may receive on how to do things differently for next year’s Citywide Cleanup.
Riverfest in Windom starts tonight. Gates open at 6pm with food trucks, beverage and ice cream venders, the Jeremy Dewall Band at 7pm and Hairball takes the stage at 9pm.
