As the work on the new shelter being built by the Lions Club at Tegels Park is finishing up, the Windom Parks & Recreation Commission made a recommendation to set the half-day rental rate for the shelter at Tegels Park to $55, a full-day rental rate of $110, the bathroom & kitchen area rental rate is an additional $25, and a refundable damage deposit of $150. They also recommended setting the full day rental rate for the Kastle Kingdom shelter at $40. These new rental rates also include tax, so when people make their reservations, they know the exact dollar amount when they make plans. These recommendations were approved and once the Lions Club finishes their work on the shelter at Tegels Park, they will donate it to the City of Windom.

There’s also plans to have a board made-up at the locations and on the city’s website so people can see when these spaces are reserved so folks have a better idea when they can reserve the shelter areas for their own events.
