As you all probably have figured out, I am an EagleCam Fanatic! I am over the moon excited that on Sunday, March 26th, one of the chicks arrived! Although we just got to catch a glimpse of the broken egg and chick because both parents were sitting tight and cautious. NOW the Fun begins. Bald eagle chicks are one of the fastest growing species on the planet. If you haven’t been tuning in you can now watch with approximately 1700 others as this little chicklet becomes a juvenile in just mere weeks. Did you know that the Eagles beak and feet grow faster than other body parts because they are essential tools for survival and take several weeks to be fully developed.  The “gangly” and “clownish” look of young eaglets is largely due to the disproportionate growth of their feet and beaks. Turn off the television and watch as the real life of an Eagle unfolds before your very eyes!
