Connie Kay Hansen was born on November 4, 1962, in Windom, Minnesota, to Phillip and Sylvia (Schottle) Hansen.  She was baptized in infancy and confirmed in her youth at the United Methodist Church in Windom.  She attended Windom High School and graduated with the class of 1981.  After high school, she attended Mankato State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

After college, Connie moved to Burnsville, Minnesota, where she resided until her passing.  Through the years, she worked in district management at Pendelton, Tuesday Morning, Linens & Things, Fannie Farmer and Northwestern Fabric stores.

When Connie was not devoting her time to her career, she had many hobbies and interests that kept her busy.  Connie had a very creative mind.  She was skilled at sewing and crocheting, decorating with flowers, and she was always engaged in a good book.  Connie had a very generous heart and was full of love for her family and friends.  She found joy in golfing, traveling, cooking and baking for others. She also enjoyed planning gatherings.

Some of Connie’s “happy places” included Gary’s screen porch, Jimmy’s, and Lake Okoboji.  She had the magic touch with kids.  She was always on the floor coloring, playing games, reading books or doing puzzles.  Connie’s vibrant presence will be missed by so many!

On May 12, 2025, Connie died suddenly at her home in Burnsville, Minnesota.
