The more I think I know the less I find out that I really know. Yesterday I was privileged to be a part of a meeting that had major players in the Flood situation. I sat and listened to the unbelievable numbers, the astounding processes, the agonizing situations and how each member played a part and how their expertise was put to work. It is easy as a citizen to mock or state that enough wasn’t done or could have been done better. Yes, there were things that could have been done differently and will be in the future. We learn from every experience. What I did learn the water rose 7 feet in 24 hours. UNFOUNDED. Nobody could have predicted this. I do believe that everyone gets their information in different ways and I believe once the shock of the situation hit, our County, our City and our Citizens stepped up and made the situation a lot less worse. If you have ideas going forward contact your Councilman, send a note to the Mayor. Make your voice heard in a constructive way. Don’t just go around complaining about what you think you know! Honestly, there is so much more going on then what you just see in front of your face or what is yacked at in your ear.

Dare I say we are now moving into the recovery phase. There are still people out there that just don’t know where to turn or where to begin. I am here to tell you there is a slew of people that are stepping up and are willing to help. Be proactive don’t just throw the towel in and think it is hopeless. We had John Holt in our studios yesterday. I do know why they have been in business for over 50 years. They know what they are doing and what they are talking about. John and Crew are amazing and as we talked John wants people to know that they care and if needed will come to your home and help you assess and figure out what needs to be done. I kid you not they will come with no obligation but a smile and a handshake. They are beyond generous but as John put it, this is what we do and this is my home and these are my friends, my neighbors and my community. We just want to do everything we can to help. Especially for older folks that may not be in touch or have opportunities of Social Media or Cell Phones. QUOTED DIRECTLY from JOHN, Call Judy 831-2128 and Judy will get us out to your place. WE are here to help. That is what Holt’s Cleaning is all about. Not the paycheck but the people. Holt’s may be able to help save you money in the long run. They may have advise for you that never entered your mind. Folks. PEOPLE ARE GOOD. Use the resources that are being offered. People WANT TO HELP. John and crew are here for you. USE THEIR KNOWLEDGE and GIVING hearts.
