What is in a name? According to Juliet, “that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” A name carries so much and in that tender moment of birth parents try their best to pick the perfect name that will carry on through a lifetime. No matter what your first name is, TODAY is National Middle Name Pride Day. According to reports, where first names are often simple and modern, middle names are more personalized, creative or cultural. I am honored that my Darcy Girl carries my Middle Name Ann which also is her Mama’s middle Name and her other grandmothers middle name. I just have to say it is Strong and full of a middle name potential… Only used when it really matters!!! Our Grandsons also carry Steve’s name. Henry Steven and Theodore Charles. I love the middle name tradition. First names that carry tradition are cool too, but when you are named with a first name and then called your middle name or another name all together that is when the madness begins. I choose to celebrate the Middle Name Pride Day because it is just cool… As I am sitting here pondering the whole name game, I am also happy to say that it is National Peanut Cluster Day. You know you just can’t resist the incredible chocolate and crunchy peanuts molded together for that ultimate burst of satisfaction. Sweet Salty just total goodness. And just because my Sweet Baby James (who is NOT a baby but a big boy now) and my Darcy Girl are Preschoolers I tip my hat and clap my hands for National Preschooler’s Day!
