Deputies conducted 22 Civil Processes, worked 4 Suspicious Activity, Person and Vehicle Calls, had 2 Motorist Assists, conducted 5 Traffic Stops and served 1 warrant. Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic has completed their renovations and are inviting the public to their Open House on Thursday February 15th from 3-5pm. According to Office Manager Jennifer Anderson the clinic has added over 1500 square feet that includes 3 new exam rooms, a larger reception area which has opened up other areas of the clinic to serve as emergency triage. The Open House will give the public a chance to meet the Team at Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic, and there will be different vendors to check out and the animal rescue will also be present. Dr Stone will be on hand to talk about the history along with present and past Veterinarians. The Clinic has been serving the Southwestern part of Minnesota since 1953. There will be cake and door prizes. Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic is so excited for the new space and State of the Art Equipment. Come out and see for yourself this Thursday the 15th from 3-5pm. The Minnesota Sheriff’s Association awards scholarships each year to individuals planning to become a MN peace officer. The applicants apply through their local Sheriff’s Offices. The MN Sheriff’s Association Scholarship Program is promoted by the 87 Sheriffs of Minnesota. Cottonwood County Sheriff Jason Purrington presented a $2,000 scholarship to Daniel Gardiner, who is a part-time Corrections Officer for Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office. Daniel is from the Mountain Lake area and is completing his law enforcement degree at MN West in Worthington.
