The Redwood County Sheriff’s Department released a statement that The Ramsey County Medical Examiner has identified the deceased individual discovered on October 6th in Charleston Township west of Sanborn along the Cottonwood River. as Jeanine Jackson, aged 81 from Sanborn. Ms. Jackson had been missing since September 20th when she went for a walk with her dog. The chihuahua was located on September 30th along a gravel road south and west of Sanborn near the border with Cottonwood County. The dog was alive and was returned to family. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office sends sincere thank yous to everyone who assisted in the recent search efforts.

The Cottonwood County Historical Society is featuring “Four Seasons: Art in Paper” by Eva Lopez until November 18th. Lopez is an artist that transforms cardstock paper into beautiful flowers. Lopez learned the art of making paper flowers by observing the craft on-line. Her inspiration comes from nature where all beauty begins. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported on the 5th Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the County and conducted a requested welfare check. A 31-year-old female from St James turned herself in at the Sheriff’s Office Lobby for a Felony Theft Warrant. A deputy conducted a probation check on an individual in Jackson. It was determined the individual, a 23-year-old male from Jackson, had violated Release Conditions and was therefore arrested on a Probation Apprehension and Detention Order. A deputy responded to a parking violation in the Jackson City Hall parking lot where a vehicle with multiple flat tires appeared to be abandoned. Deputies responded to a minor two-vehicle crash in Jackson and conducted a traffic stop in Jackson where the driver was issued a citation for Exhibition Driving.
