If you know me you know that feeding people is my passion. I don’t believe that any child or adult for that matter should go hungry. We live in such a rich world full of so many chances to be the difference. On the first Friday of September it is National Food Bank Day. This day is to encourage you to commit to contributing to the cause that believes no one should go to bed hungry. This day is to reflect on making a plan to donate to the food pantry or helping your neighbor or finding out what family in your community is struggling with hunger and being the difference. It isn’t just one day of the year, it is a monthly commitment to help. Celebrate today by marking your calendars to donate food, not only will you make a difference in someone else’s day, you my friends will be feeling better from the inside to the out.

So I have been a mom for over 34 years now… How have I never heard in all of these years that the first Friday in September is National Lazy Mom’s Day!!! This day is suppose to delegate everyday mom jobs to someone else… Hmmm… The way I figure it, I have a few non laundry, meal cooking and dishes days coming to me and I for one am going to start today! I am digging the National Lazy Mom’s Day… Whomever discovered this day was a genius!!! And to just add a little more fun to Lazy Mom’s Day did you also know that the first Friday in September  each year ushers in a celebration worthy of a toast. National Chianti Day. It recognizes the most-recognized red wines from the Tuscany region of Italy. Coincidence??? Maybe not… Maybe so…
