The Windom Police Department submitted their April Monthly Crime Report that showed they had a total of 400 calls for the month. They had 8 Adult Arrests, 1 Juvenile Arrests and served 4 Warrants. There were 18 Accidents with 0 injuries and 2 DUI’s. Windom Police Officers issued a total of 73 Traffic Violations and Warnings for the month. The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Department reported on the 22nd at approximately 9:43 am a deputy received a phone call from the owner of Ag Point Solutions in Bingham Lake of a possible break-in into his business. Nothing had appeared to be stolen at the time of discovery, but the owner will report back if anything turns up missing. Also, on the 22nd at 4:23 pm a deputy took a report on behalf of Dry Creek Trucking in Lamberton that sometime this past month semi-truck tires had been stolen.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Department reported on the 30th Deputies gave a presentation to the 3- and 4-year-old students with the Head Start Program in Jackson. They assisted MN State Patrol and DOT with a semi stuck on the side of the road at the intersection of MN 86 and CR 24. Crews were on scene for about 2.5 hours. Deputies responded to a report of TV dumped in a ditch south of Jackson on Petersburg Road and received a report of a theft of cash, this matter remains under investigation. Deputies conducted a traffic stop in Jackson, which resulted in a citation being issued for Operating an Unregistered Vehicle.

Mountain Lake Police Department reported 10 calls in the week of April 25th to the 28th. Officers issued four warning letters for ordinance violations to four different properties. They assisted other agencies with a driving complaint, a fatality accident, a vehicle traveling 100+ miles an hour, trying to locate a juvenile, getting medication for someone in jail and with a trailer that blew over in the wind that was attached to pick up. Officers responded to a burglary alarm that turned out to be false alarm, and an officer took a report of an assault victim who refused to cooperate.
