Redwood County Sheriff’s Office released the following report- on August 25th, at approximately 4:24pm the Redwood Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a one vehicle ATV, roll-over accident near the 29000 Block of 250th Street. The driver, Addison Lynn Knott, age 7 succumbed later to her injuries from the ATV accident in rural Redwood County. The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol and Centra Care Ambulance.

Windom Police Department reported on the 26th at approximately 12:50am there was a hit- and-run on Highway 60 north by HyLife. A Female from Worthington was driving her 2004 Chrysler Sebring and believed she was side swiped by a semi. The Officer was unable to locate the other vehicle.
On the 25th Windom Police Officers took a report of harassment from a female from Canby. She stated that a Windom Male was harassing her. This report was added to a previous report and was sent to the County Attorney for review. Officers also took a report from a Windom Female who was reporting damage to property. Sometime over the night in the parking lot of Toro someone slashed her front drivers side tire. While investigating it appeared there were four punctures into the side wall of tire.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported on the 25th, Deputies assisted the Jackson Ambulance twice with a medical and also responded to a domestic disturbance at 10:13am. Deputies had two traffic stops which ended up with a citation for speed going 93 in a 70-mph zone on I-90 at Jackson and a stop in Jackson that warranted charges pending for Fail to Transfer Title and Tax Evasion.

The Jeffers City Council met on the 22nd the Council approved the curb removal permit for a resident. The clerk presented Levy information for review and after discussion, it was tabled until next meeting. The Council then authorized the transfer of $30,000 from the general fund to the fire fund to synchronize accounting and budgeting procedures. It was reported that the house on Whited Street was knocked down by Jeffers Drayline.
