Starting this weekend Snowshoeing will be available at Dynamite Park. According to Parks and Recreations Director Tim Hogan, the Snowshoes are free to members and non-community members to use around Dynamite Park and the Windom Country Club. Dynamite Park is located on River Road just before the Golf Course. Hogan went onto say that there are various styles and sizes of snowshoes for use. He restated that these are to ONLY be used in the Dynamite Park and Country Club Area. Hours are Sunrise to Sundown on Saturday and Sunday’s. There will be addition hours added for when kids are out of school. This idea was sparked through the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce. Windom Police Department reported a traffic accident on December 15th at 904 2nd Ave in Windom A 2016 Chevy Silverado was traveling west on 9th street when a 2017 Chevy Silverado attempted to make a left turn. The 2017 Chevy hit the 2016 Chevy on the drivers side. Both vehicles received minor damage with no injuries reported.

Windom Police Department reported an accident from Thursday December 16th  at the intersection of 13th street and 4th Ave in Windom. A 2008 Saturn Aura was traveling east on 13th street and made contact with a 2006 Hyundai Sonata that was traveling southbound on 4th ave. Damage to both vehicles was substantial with side airbags deploying on the Sonata. No injuries were reported.

Minnesota State Patrol reported a one vehicle rollover on Highway 60 milepost 48 in the Lakeside Township of Cottonwood County Thursday  morning at 8:53 am. Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Windom Fire & Ambulance and Mountain Lake Ambulance were onsite to assist.

A Toyota 4Runner was traveling westbound on Highway 60 when it left the roadway and rolled in the westbound ditch. Driver and two passengers were transported to local hospital with believed non-life-threatening injuries. Road Conditions were listed as Snow and Ice.

The Anoka County Sheriff reported that Halle Marie Kelly Kennedy has been located safe.

The Bemidji Police Department is requesting the publics assistance in locating 15 year old Neveaeh Kingbird. She is 5’4” with long black hair with highlights brown eyes and a scar near her left eyebrow. Kingbird ran away on October 22nd and has not been in contact with friends or family since that time. Anyone with information concerning Kingbird they are asked to call the Bemidji Police Department at 218-333-9111 or call 911.
