Windom Police reported on the 24th at 12:56pm an officer received a report of conditions release check on a 29-year-old male of Windom in the 900 block of 4th Ave, the Felony Probation Office. After arriving the officer arrested the male for violating the Conditions of Release Order by having contact with the victim, direct or indirect. The officer transported the male back to the jail.

Windom Area Health is teaming up with Community Blood Bank to host a community blood drive on Monday, July 6th. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Windom Area Health. Organizers say summer is a critical time for blood donations as travel, accidents, and medical emergencies increase demand. All donors will receive a $20 Dairy Queen gift card. Most healthy adults are eligible to donate, and one blood donation can save up to three lives. Appointments can be scheduled through Community Blood Bank or by calling 605-331-3222.

The future of Mountain Lake’s proposed Fire and Ambulance Hall was discussed by the City Council last week. Council members reviewed and discussed plans that would place the facility in the spec building currently under construction along County Road 1. During the discussion, city officials emphasized the importance of maintaining regular communication with the developer to help keep the project on track and ensure construction expectations are met. The council also discussed arranging additional meetings with project representatives as planning continues.
