The Red Rock Central School District has officially hired Dr. Timothy Godfrey as its new superintendent, effective July 1, 2025. Dr. Godfrey was one of two finalists who went through the district’s hiring process earlier this year. In addition to serving as superintendent, Dr. Godfrey will also take on the role of K-12 principal for the 2025-2026 school year. This dual leadership position is expected to provide consistency and support as the district navigates key initiatives and planning efforts. District officials expressed confidence in Dr. Godfrey’s leadership and vision for the future of Red Rock Central schools.

The Windom Area School Board will hold its regular meeting on Monday, July 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Windom City Council Chambers, also streaming live on YouTube. Key agenda items include approving new teacher hires, reviewing the 2025–26 student handbook and high school intervention plan, and voting on the Long-Term Facilities Maintenance 10-year plan. The board will also consider a 2025–26 staff referral bonus, insurance updates, and policy approvals. Informational updates will cover strategic planning and the American Indian Parent Advisory Committee’s vote of concurrence. A closed session for the superintendent’s evaluation will conclude the meeting.

Welcome to Friday the 11th… It has been a hectic but amazing week for us. I am going to warn you… We have been blessed with having our Darcy Girl and T-Man come stay with us for a few days so I have Granny Brain. I’ve actually learned a new song a day but so far, my favorite is…. Darcy’s Song…. YES this is what I am doing in my waking hours… Today is going to be special it is National Blueberry Muffin Day so the Whitehouse kitchen is about to become alive with blueberries, flour and deliciousness! It’s also National French Fry Day which is EASY because Miss D and Master Theo love anything potato and we can’t forget National Motorcycle Day… for that I’m saying a quick prayer that Steve doesn’t decide to celebrate and go off on an amazing motorcycle adventure today! It’s all hands on deck with these two hooligans blessing our waking hours!!! I’m wishing you a fantastic day with butterflies and squeals of a four year old laughter and 1 ½ year old giggles and slobbery kisses!
