I am feeling a little melancholy today because my Darcy Girl is turning 4 years old on Monday!!! This past year has flown by and since about the end of November I cannot grasp time. It just feels as if the Soap Opera of my youth, Day’s of Our Lives was right, As sands flow through the hourglass, so do the days of our lives… I don’t know if any of you are experiencing this, but it is a crazy weird sensation. Just thought I’d share… Today is Friday the 7th which means it is Wave all your Fingers at your neighbors day. When I first saw this I just giggled. I have been blessed with great neighbors and yes we wave at each other quite often. BUT I never considered if I was using ALL my fingers… Waving is a nonverbal gesture of communication. It is a way of greeting understood around the world, the purpose of waving can be to acknowledge another’s presence, to say good bye, to call for silence, or to deny someone. WOW how really knew the power of the wave! I could tell you ALL the ways to wave there are so many from the Miss America Wave to the finger wiggle wave. Whatever your preference I encourage you to WAVE AWAY today! It’s also National send a card to a friend day. I have a friend that makes cards year-round and she encourages me to be artistic at times and make my own. The power of receiving a card or letter is undeniable. Take the time today to jot down a few words to whomever and pop it in the mail. As you are either mailing it or leaving it with your friend, WAVE!!! It’s a double action packed positive gesture!
