“No Name Given” Happy, of San Deigo California was charged with second-degree murder with intent, not premeditated, second-degree murder without intent while committing a felony, second degree assault and threats of violence for the connection with the fatal stabbing shortly before the New Year rang in at the Phat Pheasant Pub in Windom. According to the criminal complaint, police identified the suspect via his California commercial driver’s license, which had “No Name Given” listed on the first name line and “Happy” listed for his last name. Investigators found a knife sheath inside a semi-truck with California plates parked at the scene, charges state. The Windom Police Department and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continue to investigate.

Redwood Falls Police Department will be making history with the approval from the Redwood Falls City Council on January 2nd to accept a donation of $45,500 from the local non-profit organization PROTECTS- which stands for Providing Resources, Officer Training, Equipment, Canine, and Team Support. PROTECTS was established in 2024 and made their first initiative to create a position for a Police K-9 program for the Redwood Falls Police Department. The donation will fund the purchase of a K-9, training and certification for the dog and its handler, specialized equipment for a K-9 squad car.

The First Baby was born at Windom Area Health in 2025 on Friday January 4th at 3:42pm, weighing in at 6lbs and 12oz. According to his parents Angelica and Mario, their new baby boy they named, Liam was right on schedule and they were feeling extremely blessed and thankful to God for giving them their beautiful son at the beginning of this 2025 New Year. Liam joins his five siblings who were very excited for his arrival. Liam’s family who are from Windom, were overwhelmed with gratitude for the surprise of over $1,500 in gifts for baby Liam and family presented to them by Windom Area Health on behalf of 26 different businesses, which just confirmed that he was lucky and a huge blessing to the family.
