Deputies conducted 18 Civil Processes, had 1 Public Assist, responded to 1 Domestic Assault and 1 Verbal Domestic call , worked one suspicious activity, conducted 2 Traffic Stops, and had two warrants. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported 33 calls in the week of December 19th to the 22nd. Deputies delt with several vehicle calls including 4 jack-knifed semi’s. Mountain Lake Police Department reported 22 calls in the week of December 16th to December 22nd. Officers assisted Watonwan County Deputies in Butterfield with a welfare check and multiple arrests. Windom Area Health is holding their annual Winter Coloring Contest for all ages. You can download your coloring page at windomareahealth.org/coloring-contest/ All masterpieces must be submited by January 17th. You can either drop off your page at Windom Area Health Wellness Center or send a picture to makayla.grev@windomareahealth.org. It’s fun, it’s relaxing and it is healthy to allow yourself to be creative and take a moment to just let the colors flow!

The City of Windom will be having a Christmas Tree Disposal program this year starting at 8am on Friday January 3rd. This will be provided for all Windom Residents at no charge. For pickup and disposal, place your tree in front of your home on the boulevard, not the alleyway! Trees must be out no later than 8am on the 3rd. Ornaments, tree stands or bags, lights or anything that has wire will NOT be accepted. Trees will be ground with a woodchipper and put in compost. If you have questions, you can reach out to the City Office during regular business hours.
