Today marks the 25th Anniversary of the Windom Community Center and the public is invited to come enjoy coffee, donuts and cookies from 9am-11am at the Center located at 1750 Cottonwood Lake Drive. The Vision of the Community Center came to life on November 18, 1999. It’s location and easy access has come to be a great asset to Windom as in its versatility has supported sports events and league play for all sports, Cold Weather Fun with bouncy house and open gym time, Community, Business and Individual Meetings, Open Houses, Holiday Events, Vendor Shows, Dances, Election Poll Place, and so many unique and fun events. It is also the home of the Windom Senior Center and distribution hub of Senior Meals. Stop over and check out the Community Center and celebrate 25 years of bringing the community together.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported 19 calls from November 11th to the 13th. Deputies handled calls dealing with fraud, car vs deer crashes, ordinance violations and a report of a stolen pistol that remains under investigation. For a full listing of all calls click on link below.
