Windom City Council will be holding a Special Meeting on Monday October 28th at 6pm and Tuesday October 29th at 7pm at the Windom Community Center located at 1750 Cottonwood Lake Drive.

The Windom Area School Board will be holding a Work Session Meeting on Monday, October 28th at 6:30pm in Windom City Council Chambers. Meeting can be viewed live at Media SB22 on YouTube. The agenda includes the Finance Committee’s Recommendation to engage with Mammoth Sports Construction for preliminary work on the potential Outdoor Athletic Complex and Wold Architects and Engineers for the preliminary work on potential interior facility improvements and to Review Budget to Actual % for FY2025 as of October 15, 2024 – Informational Only. This document compares the budget to actual for both revenues and expenses for this year with prior fiscal years. This is the first review of the year – it will be presented again in January and April. The Board will review this upon recommendation of auditor and for bond rating.

The Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners will be holding a Special Meeting on Tuesday, October 29th at 9am in the Cottonwood County Law Enforcement Center in Windom. The Commissioners will be discussing Final Payment of Road Projects, Advance on Construction Funds Resolutions, Broadband Presentation & Proposal-Federated Broadband, Courthouse Landings and the Assistant County Attorney Hire.

What a week!!! It seems as though I’ve been on the road living out of a suitcase more than being home, I am actually looking forward to being home for the weekend and not having to be anywhere! Maybe, Just Maybe I can get my house in some semblance of order. I am so thankful it is Halloween time because all the dust and cobwebs and tornadic look just blends with the Holiday!!! Today is Frankenstein Friday!!!! YES IT IS AN ACTUAL CELEBRATION and FranKDOMstein is standing tall and wanting to spread the fun! So today if you stop by the Station and say HAPPY FranKDOMstein Friday you will get a t-shirt! It’s as easy as that! You can have either a KDOM or Hot Country t-shirt your choice! Let’s get this FranKDOMstein party started! It’s also World Pasta Day- too bad I made Ravoli’s for Dinner last night.. Although, one can never eat enough pasta! Well until it expands in your belly two hours later and you are miserable! Hahahahaha… Today is also National Bandana Day, I find myself pulling out the bandana when it is time to clean… Keeps the hair out of my eyes and makes me feel all gangster! Builds the confidence to wrestle with all the dust bunnies!!! And it is National “I care about you day” It is a known fact that humans are wired for relationships. We thrive when we are connected to others. There is no amount of money that can make your emotional pain heal BUT friends can or at least they can help. So today plan something special for your friends and family! Take this day and be grateful for those around you that you like and love!
