It is a bittersweet day… My three-year-old Darcy Girl and 9 month old Theo have been entertaining me for the past couple weeks. Their time here in Windom has been loaded with laughter, accidental broken items, lots of slobbery kisses due to teething, singing dancing and stories. Windom truly does have a lot of really cool places that help entertain our younger generation. The parks and playgrounds are always kept so clean and the equipment in safe and good condition. The Public Library, it’s not a place anymore that you enter and the librarian tells you to shhhh… They have so many fun activities and great books AND the Librarian treats you like there is no one else as special as you. YES… The library from my first experience to sharing with my Grandkids still is my ultimate favorite place! We have had fun going for walks and talking to new friends. Darcy knows no stranger. If you run into her, you will get the WHOLE STORY of her life and most favorite things which believe it or not DOES include her baby bro… I can’t wait to start phase two of Summer at Granny and Pappy’s when My Sweet Henry and James walk through my doors. This day was made for me and Darcy because it is National Donut Day AND National Chocolate Ice-Cream Day. You can bet that we will be celebrating all morning and day!!! It is also National June Bug Day. They still to this day give me the creeps… BUT they are part of All creatures great and small so I promise not to step on any in honor of their day! And last but by far not least… It is World Caring Day. This day serves as a reminder that no act of caring is ever too small.
