Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported 42 calls from May 24th to May 29th. Deputies assisted other agencies with 17 calls, including 911 Transfers, Ambulance and Medical calls, and traffic accidents and incidents. Deputies responded to 5 disturbances including domestic, verbal, assault and a DANCO Violation. There were 12 calls deputies responded to that involved dogs at large and barking, vaping, juvenile issues, littering, loud music, child custody issues, a burglary in Alpha, and a theft of a 9mm pistol. Deputies conducted 6 vehicle calls involving traffic stops, illegal use of an ATV, and driving complaints and a report of a motorist hitting a manhole cover that was pushed up from the flooding causing damage to their vehicle. Windom Area Health Updated Construction report said in this past couple weeks, the Iron workers were able to complete the decking, install both sets of stairs and set steel for the entryway and canopy. The mechanical trades have been busy with installing the underground plumbing and electrical as well as getting the trenches backfilled. In the coming weeks they will pour concrete decks/ stairs and will be framing walls in the remodel portion. It is a lot of fun watching the progress of this addition to the hospital. I am telling you now that I wrote this yesterday at about 1:40pm because it is Naptime. I have had my 3-year-old granddaughter Darcy and almost 9 months old grandson Theo this past week. Not going to lie… I love naptime!!! My hat is off to all the daycare providers and stay at home parents and working parents too… Gosh I am tipping my hat to ANYONE that deals in kids for any reason. These two hooligans have made me understand why God gives us children BEFORE 50… Truly I am loving every I YUV YOU, Slobbery Kiss, and cuddle. I know that in a couple of weeks I’ll be sitting alone again on the couch with everything in its place and thinking back on the total mayhem that blew through… God did it right when He rewarded us oldies with the blessings of being Grandparents. There truly is no better title than Granny and Pappy… As I am looking at Celebrations today I think we got this handled… It is National Save your Hearing Day… I think we will play the quiet game A LOT today! No Outside voices inside.. National Smile Day is not an issue every waking moment is filled with smiles and if you happen to walk by our house or see us at the store, I am sure Miss Darcy will help you get your smile on. It is after all one of her favorite things to do when she is in the mood for it. World Parrot Day… We may not have a bird BUT Miss D can repeat EVERYTHING just like a Parrot so I am pretty sure we can count on this celebration today and everyday after that… It is National Speak in Complete Sentences Day too.
