It’s National Arbor Day!!! This day started back toward the start of the 1870’s, right around the time Congress established Yellowstone National Park. It is said that today is a great day to celebrate humanity’s endearment toward nature and always falls on the last Friday of April just after Earth Day! Get to know your trees and help our earth by planting a tree or just take a moment today to sit amongst the trees and listen to them whisper to you the secrets of life… Or you can just reflect… After all today is Remember your First Kiss Day. Go back in time and reminisce about that special or maybe awkward moment where you had that first kiss, the person you had it with and how it all happened! It is believed that people rarely forget their first time doing certain things in life. The first kiss, like other things can be an everlasting memory just like any other big life achievement! I am seeing a pattern in today’s celebrations. It’s National South Dakota Day, yeah I know we are in Minnesota BUT I came from South Dakota after coming from Nebraska! HA!!! I love Nebraska’s logo, “Honestly, it’s not for everyone” but I do believe South Dakota IS!!!! Up in the Black Hills where the Faces and Trees and Rocks and All Around Beauty is worth celebrating. Never have I ever felt so close to Heaven as I did while in the Hills amongst the trees as they whispered in my ear. South Dakota has breathtaking beauty and thriving wildlife. Yes, no matter where you go in this great Nation we live in you are going to find interesting and beautiful scenery. There is no doubt though God was in a very good mood when He Created South Dakota! Let’s celebrate nature and all the goodness it brings to the soul! It’s National Get Organized Day today too… Stop procrastinating!!! Get your desk and life in order, quickly so you can go out and enjoy the trees!!!
