Well even though Turkey time may be over, I hope that you had time to relax and enjoy food and family! We had our grandsons Henry and James here and I have to tell you THERE IS NOTHING BETTER then children in the house. I have loved every phase of my kids lives. I treasure each moment that we are blessed to spend time with our grandkids. Personally, they may even be better than my guys. I do miss the days of my guys being small and full of wonder and maybe a little fear… I have to tell you about 30ish years ago we were preparing for Thanksgiving Dinner, we just got the turkey stuffed and slid him in the oven. Steve and I were just chatting about how this probably was one of the biggest birds we had ever cooked but we probably would have leftovers even with feeding the masses. It was then we noticed our boy Drew crying in the corner of the kitchen. Upon investigation…. He thought we said we put BIG BIRD in the oven. He was so distraught and upset, Sesame Street would never be the same… How could we cook Big Bird? Yes, over 30 years later we still laugh about this and there is a part of me that thinks, this is what led our Drew to become a Doctor of Psychology. Most kids, I suppose have different opportunities to pick a career whereas our kids survived their upbringing and in our opinion turned out remarkable. So now that Turkey time is over and the Christmas Season is OFFICIALLY on!!! Countdown to Christmas is EVERYWHERE. I’m not much of a Black Friday gal BUT I AM a Big Supporter of Small Business Saturday! SHOP LOCAL and check out businesses in your town!
