The Windom Board of Education had their regular meeting Tuesday night. During the meeting, board members accepted donations from multiple people for various trips, events, and sports related to the school. Of those donations, approximately 150 donors gave about $9,100 just for the Windom baseball program.

The Windom Area School summer office schedule will start on Tuesday, June 20th. The Middle School/High School office will be open during the summer Monday-Thursday 8am-12pm. The office will be closed on Friday’s and during the week of July 4th.

On June 13th, 2023, at 12:40pm, the Windom Police Department received a report of a theft from a Windom resident in the 100 block of 6th street. The report indicates a section of the resident’s 100-foot pocket expandable hose is missing from their front yard.
Emergency crews were called to a home in Lakefield Sunday morning. The call came at about 3:45am after a fire broke out at the home and the emergency crew stayed for several hours. Firefighters said the family was notified of the fire by smoke detectors in the home and no one was injured. A GoFundMe has been set up for the family.
