On Tuesday, the Windom Community Center held a job Fair for those displaced Hylife employees. Nasby says the Community Center will hold another Job Fair today.

The Windom Public Library gave an update to Windom City Council members during their meeting Tuesday night. Kari Hanson, the Windom Public Library Director told council members the library is having a summer reading program and hosting an all-ages bingo activity, plus story time is returning to the library on Tuesday’s at 11am. Hanson also updated the Windom City Council that library hours on Saturday’s have changed. The Windom Public Library will now be open until noon instead of 1pm starting Saturday, June 17th.
The Windom City Council adopted resolutions accepting donations from the Gary Sinise Foundation and Poet. The Gary Sinise Foundation donated $7,000 to the Windom Police Department to purchase two Stalker Radar units. Poet donated $1,400 to the Windom Ambulance Department to purchase four Prosplint Extremity Splints.
The Windom City Council adopted a resolution to approve the grant contract for the Department of Transportation Airport Maintenance and Operation. This annual contract with the State is for airport maintenance for things such as patch work, seal coating, and snow plowing.
