Deputies served 2 Warrants, conducted 11 Civil Processes, responded to 3 Concerns for Welfare, had 3 motor assists and made 6 traffic stops. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported 21 calls from the 15th to the 16th. On the 15th Deputies assisted Jackson Ambulance with a medical call, responded to a disturbance in Jackson and responded to a disturbance at the EconLodge motel in Jackson which after investigation, a 53 year old male who resides at the motel was arrested for two counts of 5th Degree Controlled Substance Possession and Possession of Dangerous Weapon – Metal Knuckles. A 28 year old male who also resides at the motel was arrested on the same three charges. On the 16th Deputies assisted Jackson Ambulance with a medical call. At 5:48am a call about a jackknifed semi on MN 60 east of Heron Lake. The Heron Lake Fire Dept. was also paged for precautionary measures due to a fuel leak. At 10:57am and 12:15pm calls were transferred to MN State Patrol for vehicles in the median on I-90 near Heron Lake and on MN 60 near Heron Lake. Deputies assisted MN State Patrol with a two vehicle accident at 1:14pm on I-90 near Lakefield. The Lakefield Ambulance and Lakefield Fire Dept were paged for precautionary reasons. The at 1:32pm Deputies assisted the MN State Patrol with a two vehicle head-on accident on MN 86 near the Iowa state line. The Lakefield Ambulance and Lakefield Fire Dept. assisted at the scene. At 1:44pm a deputy assisted the MN State Patrol with a semi in the ditch on I-90 near Lakefield then at 1:47pm A deputy assisted the MN State Patrol with a vehicle in the ditch 5 miles north of Jackson on US 71. At 2:06 PM A deputy assisted the MN State Patrol with 6 vehicles in the ditch and median on MN 60 just west of Windom into Jackson County. The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and Windom PD also assisted at the scene. A call was transferred to MN State Patrol of a car in the median on I-90 east of Jackson at 3:01pm. Deputies assisted MN State Patrol with a vehicle in the ditch at 3:15pm on MN 60 near Wilder, then at 3:17 A deputy assisted the MN State Patrol with two vehicles in the ditch on US 71 near the Iowa state line. At 3:45 a deputy assisted the MN State Patrol with a vehicle in the ditch on US 71 just south of Jackson. At 3:59 MN State Patrol was notified of three vehicles in the ditch on MN 86 about 3 miles south of MN 60. Deputies assisted the MN State Patrol with a vehicle in the ditch on MN 60 near Wilder at 4:17pm and then at 4:18 a deputy assisted the MN State Patrol with a semi in the median on MN 60 near MN 86 and at 4:35pm MN State Patrol was made aware of a vehicle in the ditch on MN 60 near Wilder.
