I think it is imperative that I report to everyone that the first egg of the 2023 Eagle Cam Season has been laid! It came around 12:30pm Wednesday February 15th. Additional eggs will likely come over the next few days. Eagle eggs are usually laid two to three days apart but they can go upto 5 days between eggs. Once laid, the egg is expected to hatch after 34-39 days of incubation.

You can learn more and see more by visiting the DNR Eagle Cam. You won’t regret

  1. It is nature at its finest. This year they also installed a new microphone at the next. Having sound brings the experience to a whole new level. Check out the EagleCam at mndnr.gov/eaglecam

So with the “Big Events” that have been happening this past week with a big murder trial and then an escaped convict on the run (because he didn’t show up to court) with possibly having guns in his possession, then a school soft shutdown turns into a guilty verdict without a defendant present… my mind is reeling! I understand that there is a LOT more to the story and I am woman enough to give a shout out to the Citizen for there daily dig in the whole trial and situation. There is just so much I don’t understand and then the self-doubt starts to set in and then I look up and it is actual National Random Acts of Kindness Day and I HAVE to give another shout out to whomever it was that sent me the best postcard with PEACE on the front and such a heartwarming message on the back. THANK YOU… I live to speak another week… Your words truly made my week and I have your card posted right in front of my computer so that I am reminded of our faithful listeners that make my heart smile. THANK YOU… On this National Random Acts of Kindness Day, don’t hold back- say the words, send the note, finish the act. IT REALLY DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!  Oh and just so you know… Today is also National No one eats alone day… Let me know if you want a partner to munch with because we all know I love to eat!
