There are a lot of ways to get your walk in, on these blustery wintery days. Did you know… The Windom Area Middle/High School has open hall walking, AND you have two opportunities a day! Halls are open for walking Monday through Friday from 6:45am to 7:30am and 3:45pm to 6:30pm. The Windom Middle/High School invites you to come out of the cold and into their halls to get your steps in. There is no fee to walk, BUT you do need to register with the Community Education Office and pick up a pass for school access. Yep, now there is NO EXCUSE not to get your steps in daily. Hall walking is not available when the building is closed for weather reasons or holidays and they ask that you use the hours posted on Non-Student Days. This is just one more way that our schools are investing in the communities health and wellbeing.

There are many things in History that catch my eye or pique my interest, but today is National Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Holocaust is a time in history that just drains me emotionally, physically and spiritually. What an absolute heart wrenching time in our history and one that I hope no one ever forgets. On this day, the world remembers one of the most horrific events in modern history. The holocaust occurred during WWII when Nazi Germany killed millions of innocent victims.
On a lighter note- today is National Chocolate Cake Day! Yes it is possible to have cake and eat it too on this day! Chocolate cake is the flavor that more people favor, me personally I’m a lemon fanatic BUT I would never turn down a piece of chocolate cake so celebrate today with a big ol’ slice don’t wait for a Birthday or Anniversary celebration just dig in and enjoy!
AND being in Radio I don’t understand this next celebrated day… It is National Fun at Work Day, I mean when you work in Radio EVERY DAY IS FUN!!!! Why only recognize the fun one day a year? Wanna be happy and have fun?… Come join us at the Radio Station, I mean, YOU COULD BE DOING THIS, instead of me!!!!
