The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office reported on May 29th in the morning hours at approximately 2:36am a Deputy was called to a possible underage drinking party in Bingham Lake. After investigation, no minors were observed drinking at the resident. Deputies were called back to the residence for a minor who was possibly intoxicated. Case was forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office to review for underage drinking offense on a 15-year-old male from Bingham Lake.

Windom Police Department reported 479 total calls for May. There were 9 adult arrests, 2 Juvenile Arrests and 135 Warrants served. There were 15 Accidents with 2 injuries, three DUI’s and 107 traffic tickets and warnings issued.

The Jackson Economic Development Corporation will be holding a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new 10,500 sq foot Family Dollar/Dollar Tree Combination store in Jackson at 9:30am on Wednesday, June 8th. The facility will be located in the Jackson Crossroads development, on the corner of Industrial Parkway and Highway 71. Access to the site is available on Industrial Parkway.
Members of the Jackson Economic Development Corporation and staff from Family Dollar will be on site for the groundbreaking.
