The Windom City Council recently took a tour of some of the city owned facilities in our community.  KDOM sat down with Council person Jenny Quade and discussed her thoughts on the facilities they toured.  Each day during the Noon Hour News time we will be featuring one building on the tour.  Today we learn  about the Community Center and Tegels Park.

Cottonwood County Sheriffs office  reported an accident on County Road 8 in Selma Township, Comfrey at approximately 10pm on May 22nd. A Case SV300 Skid Steer was traveling North on County Road 8, when an 2012 Chevy Impala was also traveling North. A vehicle behind the skid steer passed it, another vehicle was behind that vehicle and the Skid Steer. The Skid Steer turned left into a driveway and was hit in the front drivers side tire of the Case Skid Steer by the Impala who tried to go around the skid steer. Minor damage was done to the Impala, no injuries were reported.

A Windom Police Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of 16th Street for a possible vandalism to a 2021 Chevy Traverse on May 22nd at 11am. The Officer arrived on scene and met with the reporting party who explained that his wife had gotten int to the vehicle to go to work and when she shut the door the back window shattered. The vehicle had been parked in the driveway overnight. There were no obvious cause for the window breaking.

Windom Women of Today will be hosting a blood drive today from 1:30-6:30 pm at the Windom Community Center. Walk-ins are welcome on a limited basis. You can make an appointment by going to redcrossbloos.org
