Believe it or not, but it is time already to be thinking about age old tradition that kids across the United States think of from the time they are in kindergarten. Nope, I am not talking about graduation. I am talking about PROM!!! The Windom Area High School Jr Class is in FULL FUNDRASING Mode to make the 2022 “Enchanted Forest” Themed Prom a huge hit! According to Beth Scrivens, Junior Parents are in charge of fundraising. Funds go towards- COKETAIL- which translates to appetizers and social time for the kids prior to the Grand March and fun, safe activities such as Games, Activities, a Hypnotist, food and drinks for the kids for an AFTER PROM Party.  The committee would also love to raise enough money to cover prizes for every Windom Junior and Senior that attends.

Personally, I love to see parents and students in action trying to create clean fun and safe memories for their kids. Currently, there are some pretty good deals out there for the community to save big, and in return create big memories for our young adults! Everyone needs groceries or products, and the Jr Prom Fundraising Committee has HyVee Coupon Cards for only $25 each. You get $7 off every $100 purchase and $3 off a $50 purchase. They are also sponsoring a raffle currently that is paying out with 15 cash prizes. Prizes won will be based on percentage of tickets sold. BUT YOU MIGHT WIN UPTO $1,000. Best to buy your ticket now, drawing will be on January 31st at 7:00pm. Whether your Prom was the night of your life or full of disastrous events that led to amazing stories to talk about for the rest of your life… Dig in and help the next generation to create that memory for their lifetime! If you want to purchase a raffle ticket, or a HyVee Coupon or even hook up with a pizza from Papa Johns for the Super Bowl contact Beth Scrivens at 822-6246, Jim Garrison at 822-1879 or Ashley Johnson at 822-0764.
