The Windom Police Department was dispatched to the 1300 Block of 4th Ave on Sunday, January 2nd to check on a home that had its front door glass broken. The door was also broken. The residence owner was possibly living somewhere else currently. Due to the concern of a possible burglary or squatter issue at the residence, K9 Bruno was deployed on a 15 foot lead to assist officers in searching the residence. An Officer spoke with the homeowners niece on the phone and advised her of the situation. She was possibly going to have someone come and check on the residence.

On a personal note.

My heart is saddened at the news of Betty White’s passing. She brought such joy to me with her devilish grin, wicked sense of humor and what seemed to be a pure heart. I was reading an article and Ryan Reynolds summed up her passing so very well…  “”The world looks different now, she was great at defying expectation. She managed to grow very old and somehow, not old enough. We’ll miss you, Betty. Now you know the secret.”

Rest in Peace Betty.
