The Comfrey Public School Board is pushing back against rumors about the district’s future, assuring families that Comfrey Public School is not closing. In a message shared with parents and area residents, school leaders acknowledged that recent staffing changes and community speculation have raised concerns. However, the board stressed that the district remains open and continues to operate as an independent rural school. To address questions and provide more information, the school district will host a parent information meeting on Wednesday, June 17th at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria. School officials say the meeting will give families an opportunity to hear updates directly from district leadership and ask questions about the school’s future. The district says it is focused on long-term planning to strengthen Comfrey Public School and has continued efforts to keep residents informed through school board meetings, financial updates, and online meeting minutes.
