Across the country, Americans are preparing for Thanksgiving Day tomorrow, a holiday rooted in a harvest gathering shared in 1621 between English settlers and the Wampanoag people. Though the details of that early feast have been retold in many forms, the core idea has endured: pausing to recognize what sustains us. Today, the celebration looks different in every household. Some will travel long distances; others will stay close to home. Kitchens will warm with familiar scents, and tables, large or small, will fill with the staples of the season. Yet beyond the recipes and routines, the day carries a quieter rhythm. Thanksgiving remains a moment to step back from the pace of the year, to take stock of what has changed, and to acknowledge the people and comforts that anchor us. As the holiday arrives tomorrow, many will find that gratitude doesn’t require grand gestures. It lives in small things: a shared meal, a steady hand, a simple welcome at the door.
KDOM wants to wish everyone a warm and satisfying Thanksgiving Day and we want you to know that we are truly thankful for all of our listeners, followers and businesses that make what we do, worth doing. Thank you for ALL the support and encouragement we could not do it without each of you. Remember you don’t have to be alone and go without a meal tomorrow. There are community meals being offered in all of our listening areas. Make the call, go be apart of the community meal and be thankful for all this life has to offer even when it is hard. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
