HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!!
Today, across the nation, Americans are donning red, white, and blue as we celebrate Independence Day, the 4th of July. It’s a day filled with parades, fireworks, family gatherings, and a deep sense of national pride.
But beyond the cookouts and the sparklers, this holiday marks a pivotal moment in history. On July 4th, 1776, the Continental Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence, drafted primarily by Thomas Jefferson. With that bold document, the thirteen American colonies declared their freedom from British rule, setting in motion the birth of a new nation, built on the ideals of liberty, self-governance, and the pursuit of happiness.
Since that day, the 4th of July has stood as a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and vision that shaped the United States. It’s a time to reflect not only on our independence, but also on the responsibilities that come with freedom.
