There is a special type of person that is celebrated today. It’s not the Pope nor is it Mother Teresa or even a Teacher or Law Enforcement Officer or Fireman, which are all very important people to name some at the top of the list- but today is National Hair Stylist Appreciation Day. God gave me boys because I cannot do hair. I have absolutely no talent or desire to even learn at this stage in my life and I am SUPER appreciative to ALL Hair Stylist. Not only are they incredibly talented but they also play the role of spirit booster, decision maker and bartender… (You know you go and they listen to all your problems and give great advice) without the alcohol..sometimes! My hat literally comes off to Tashia for always taking on my moptop of thick unruly hair with lots of cowlicks and making me feel semi human on a regular basis. NO I will never be willing to be brave and dye my hair purple but I totally appreciate each time when she tells me she loves my swoops of gray… Yes, Hair Stylists are amazing people and need more appreciation for the miracles they work each day. I loved to find out that today is National License Plate Day. My Sweet Henry collects license plates and it is so cool to go into his room and see all the places and designs he has on his wall. After spending a few days with my amazing Grandson Theo I cannot and will never be on board for go Diaper Free Day… That kid can produce a lot of punch and I’d hate to think what life would be without a diaper! And one of my favorite species that wanders on this earth is celebrated today. It is World Penguin Day. Penguins are just the funniest creatures. They are all suited up for a formal event but dance and jive to their own beat. I could spend hours watching them. It is also International Noise Awareness Day and I am sure I am making too much so I will quietly wish you all a beautiful day.
