The Windom City Council on the 15th and covered a lot of information that I will disburse in the next few days. The Council accepted the resignation of EDA Director, Tiffany Lamb as of April 9th.  The council discussed options of how to move forward and at what capacity would be implemented. City Administrator Steve Nasby informed the council that they have reopened the advertisement for the position and until they see the qualifications of applicants they will not make the decision of whether it will be a Director or Coordinator position. All recommended hires for departments and seasonal help were approved. The Council was advised and approved ReVize Web Services to complete the City Website Rebuild Agreement. After long a long discussion and listening to both sides of the issue. The Council approved the Conditional Use Permit to move forward on the Island Park Berm. It again, will not affect the location of pool which is in such dire straights that it may not be able to be resurrected without totally digging out and starting over and the dog park will remain at Island Park and the dogs will remain in a safe environment . A proclamation was read in honor of the Windom Public Library for Library Week that was April 6th through the 12th.

I am traveling today and in honor of National Animal Cracker Day I DO have all my circus animals in a bucket just calling out my name to munch them away.. I don’t know about you but the elephant still to this day is my favorite. I can’t participate in clean out your medicine cabinet day and it is not looking good for national exercise day either… BUT I guess I could exercise my mind that has to account for something!!! Doesn’t it? And last but never least today is Good Friday. Holy means sacred which means GOOD. This  Friday is called Good Friday because this is the holy time that we commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ at Calvary. This is the time that Jesus accepted all our sins to save mankind from eternal death. With that get out and celebrate because as we all know the glorius rising is about to come! Happy Easter from me to you on this Good Friday!
