Windom Police Department reported on the 21st at approximately 6pm an officer was on patrol in the 1400 block of 17th Street when he observed a male walking on the sidewalk towards an apartment he knew matched the description of a Windom male that cannot have contact with a female at this apartment complex. After investigation, an arrest was made of a 30-year-old Windom male for violation of the No Contact Order, a Felony. On the 22nd at approximately 1:18 am an officer on patrol on Highway 71 North at the intersection of Highway 60 observed an approaching vehicle that was driving at least 15 mph under the speed limit. The officer followed the vehicle once it passed . The vehicle turned right onto 16th Street, then made a sharp left turn onto 4th Avenue, the officer noted the vehicle did not have functioning license plate lights and initated a traffic stop. After investigation, a 28-year-old Windom male was arrested for Gross Misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with two more aggravating factors present, including a prior DWI conviction. At 9:27pm an officer was on patrol at the intersection of River Road and 13th Street when he turned onto 13th Street heading East, he observed a vehicle traveling East near 8th and 9th Ave that was driving in the oncoming lane of traffic and then in both lanes straddling the center line. The officer followed the vehicle to the intersection of 4th and 10th Street where the vehicle stopped at a crosswalk with the back tires in the crosswalk. The officer initated a traffic stop with his emergency lights. After investigation, an arrest was made of a 41-year-old Windom male for Misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated. On the 23rd at 5:38 officers were called to a two vehicle non-injury accident at 2150 Hospital Drive. At 1:33pm officers were called to a two-vehicle non-injury accident in HyVee Parking Lot.
