Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office reported 44 calls in the week of October 27th to November 2nd. Deputies conducted 2 Civil Processes, had 3 Animal Calls, investigated 2 Concerns for Welfare Calls, had 2 Civil Disputes, served 3 Warrants and conducted 5 Traffic Stops. The Windom Police Department submitted their October Monthly Crime Report that showed they had a total of 488 calls for the month. They had 12 Adult Arrests, 1 Juvenile Arrest and served 8 Warrant. There were 14 Accidents with 2 injuries and 4 DUI’s. Windom Police Officers issued a total of 138 Traffic Violations and Warnings for the month. Today’s Meetings include:
- Murray County Board of Commissioners will be meeting Tuesday, November 5th at 8:30am in the Murray County Government Center. If you would like to listen in by calling or view the meeting via zoom you can find the information on the Murray County Homepage.
- Jackson County Board of Commissioners and the Drainage Authority will meet Tuesday, November 5th at 9am at the Jackson County Court House Commissioners Board Room
- The Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners will be Tuesday, November 5th at 9:00am at the Cottonwood County Courthouse in the Commissioners Room.
- The St James City Council will be meeting on Tuesday, November 5th at 5:30pm in James City Hall – Council Chambers. Meetings can be viewed live or anytime on the City of St James’s YouTube Channel.
- The Windom City Council will be meeting Tuesday, November 5th at 8:05 pm at Windom City Hall in the City Council Chambers

Good Samaritan Mountain Lake Turkey Supper is tonight in Mountain Lake from 5pm-6:30pm. Come for the sense of community and good food! They will be serving Turkey with ALL the Fixing’s and if you aren’t in the mood for turkey, there will be a Beef Roast option available. You can eat in or they have Take Out. Adults are $9, Children 6 to 13 years of age are $5 and 5-years old and under are FREE! Don’t forget to peruse the amazing Gift Baskets that are presented for Raffle. Tickets are ONLY $1 each.
