Jeffers City Council met on the 28th. The council discussed increasing the water rate due to Red Rock Rural water increasing their rates. Discussion was tabled until the next meeting. It was reported that the street sweeper would be coming and South-Central Electric will be replacing the lights at the city park shelter due to vandalism of the previous lights.

Windom Area Health is offering a Free Skin Cancer Screen Clinic with Dr Marc Fernandez on Friday November 8th at Windom Area Health Specialty Clinics. Screenings include looking at all of your skin to check for signs of skin cancer and suggested treatment. Skin Cancer with caught early is very treatable. Oh my goodness it is NOVEMBER!!! ONLY 8 more Fridays till Christmas!!!! AND we have to stuff Thanksgiving and Small Business Saturday, Christmas at the Village in Mt Lake, Christmas by Candlelight in Windom, The Turkey Shoot, and Reindeer Races and everything in between!!!! Strap in people time is going to FLY!!!! To kick the celebration off today November 1st it is ALL SAINTS DAY. Today is designed to show honor and reverence to saints both canonized and unknown. Take a silent moment today and reflect on those that have gone before you. Give thanks for their lives and contributions that made an impact on your life. Sending the vibes to so many Saints that helped me to get to where I am today and when my work is done here on earth, I’ll join them in the celebration of the ultimate goal. In the meantime, I will also celebrate National Author’s Day with grabbing a good book and immersing myself in an adventure beyond the bounds of my imagination! Do you have a favorite Author?
