The Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners met on the 15th. There were four motions of approval
- Resolution 24-10-15 approving tax abatement for Strom property
- Resolution 24-10-15A Calling for a Public Hearing on Proposed Tax Abatement for Johnson New Residential Project
- Local Operation Disaster Credit in an estimated amount of $4,210 for 2025 taxes payable on parcel 25.831.0400
- Local Operation Disaster Credit in an estimated amount of $1,216 for 2025 taxes payable on parcel 25.831.0120
The Commissioner approved to reappoint David Grev as the County Assessor for a 4-year term beginning January 1, 2025. A conditional Use Permit was approved for Douglas Quade for an expansion of dwelling in shoreland, Westbrook Township, with conditions. The Commissioners agreed to advertise for a Full-Time Deputy Sheriff and then went into closed session to discuss strategy for upcoming labor negotiations.

The Jeffers City Council met on the 14th. The Council reviewed and approved the Winter Snow Agreement from Cottonwood County Highway. The Jeffers First Responder Pay was reviewed and approved. Trick or Treat Hours were set for Thursday October 31st from 4pm to 7pm with curfew set at 10pm. There will be a fine sent to a resident for allowing their dogs to run at large. The Council was informed that the Pumper Truck will be out of service due to a repair and mutual aid fire departments will be notified.

The Cottonwood County Ditch Authority met on the 15th and adopted the Amendment to Findings and Order Appointing Viewers for Groups 1, 2a, 2b, and 2c which removes Aaron Goemann as an appointed viewer.
