There will be a SPECIAL Windom CITY COUNCIL MEETING Tonight at the Windom Community Center located at 1750 Cottonwood Lake Drive at 6pm the Agenda will cover the 2025 Proposed Budget and Capital Improvement Projects

The Des Moines Valley Health and Human Services Board will be meeting Agenda Thursday, October 10th at 9am in the Cottonwood County Law Enforcement Center located at 902 5th Avenue #1, Windom.

The Windom FFA Chapter will be presenting Feed the Farmers on Friday October 11th from Noon to 2pm at the Country Pride Coop in Bingham Lake and at New Vision in Windom, Jeffers and Mountain Lake. Free Lunch will be provided by the Windom FFA Chapter. A Free Will Donation will be accepted, and an account is set up under the Windom FFA if you want to donate any yield towards the chapter.

At the last Cottonwood County Board meeting the Commissioner approved the bid from Mathiowetz Construction for $149,992 to begin immediately on repairs to the culvert beneath County Road 99 that was damaged by floods this past summer. Highway Engineer Nick Klisch stated that due to public safety during harvest the quote being sought, would be awarded to whomever could start the soonest. R&E Enterprises came in with a lower quote but they could not begin work until November. Klisch stated that costs for the project could be reimbursed through FEMA.
