You are probably hearing it all over the place… “Whose a Good Dog?” why are you hearing this? Well… It is National Dog Biscuit Day!!! I don’t know about you but I just can’t give a biscuit to Otis without telling him he is a good boy! Dog Biscuits are the bomb to Otis, he hasn’t learned to balance it on his nose, because honestly the pooch cannot sit still that long! BUT he is coming along… and what better way to con him into being a good dog then to give him the awesomeness of a Dog Biscuit! Treat yourself too with a slice of the delectable Banana Bread. The smell of baking Banana Bread just gives one a sense of peace! Yep, my mouth is watering already in anticipation!!! There are like 20 different things to celebrate today but after I got to the Dog Biscuits and Banana Bread, I just couldn’t move past EXCEPT as I am thinking about unraveling the joy of a tootsie roll. Did you know that the tootsie roll has been a favorite among people throughout generations? It has been more than 115 years since the Tootsie Roll was developed in Brooklyn in 1907. February 23rd is the birth anniversary of the inventor, Leo Hershfield, he named the candy after his daughter, Clara, whose nickname was Tootsie. By 1908 the Tootsie Roll became immensely popular and today, Tootsie Roll Industries manufactures about 64 million Tootsie Rolls in a day.
Soooo in conclusion it is a massive treat day for you and your goofy barking buddy!! Give him a biscuit and you eat the banana bread and tootsie rolls… Can’t think of a better way to celebrate the day!
