The Minnesota State Patrol reported two Sanborn teenagers were injured in a rollover accident on Highway 71 on the 25th at approximately 12:16pm. A 2009 Dodge Ram Pickup driven by a 17-year-old male from Sanborn was traveling southbound on HWY 71 near the intersection of 280th Street when the vehicle left the roadway entering the east ditch and rolled. The driver and one of his passengers a 16 year old male of Sanborn sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to the Windom Area Hospital. A 14-year-old passenger was not injured. Assisting at the scene according to the MN State Patrol, were the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Sanborn Fire Department and Windom Ambulance.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported 25 calls from November 23rd to 26th. Deputies handled two separate domestic abuse calls, assisted 10 other agencies with accidents, warrant arrests, and medical calls. The Jackson Fire Department and the Alpha Fire Department were requested for mutual aid for a shed fire by Sherburn. Crews were on scene for about 2 hours. Windom Police Department reported a minor two-vehicle traffic accident yesterday morning at 7:41am on HWY 60 by HyVee. There were no injuries reported.

SANTA is coming to WINDOM!!!! Want to have some family fun and be able to tell Santa just what you have put on your wish list? This weekend at the Business, Arts, & Recreation Center located at 1012 5th Ave there is a Craft and Vendor Fair that has everything including Santa and fun crafts for the kids all in one spot!! The Craft and Vendor Fair runs from 9am to 3pm with handcrafted, one-of-a-kind and gift items. There is also, BARC’s Annual Bake Sale to get all your holiday goodie favorites. Coffee and Cinnamon Rolls will be available for purchase from 9 to 11am and One Way Catering will be serving lunch for purchase fro 11am 1pm menu includes scallop potatoes and ham or hot beef or turkey supreme sandwiches with a chips and beverage. Santa Claus will be headed to BARC after visiting TORO around Noon and will be available to talk to all the children till 2pm. There is craft activities for children to complete throughout the day. If that isn’t enough…. Windom Women of Today are Sponsoring Santa’s Workshop for Kids in the BARC Library from 10am-1pm. Kids can shop for their family and friends. All gifts are $5 or less. Saturday December 2nd at the BARC is where you want to be to for community fun and great food. The Craft & Vendor Fair is a fundraiser for the Business, Arts and Recreation Center.
