Windom Police Department reported a two-vehicle minor accident on the 20th at approximately 4pm at 44 9th Street. No injuries, no disabling damage to either vehicle.

A fire that started in a vehicle parked behind the Chad Hokeness Family Farm, located in the 23400 block of Edward Avenue in Adrian, destroyed the family’s business and two machine shops this past Sunday. Everything was a total loss. According to fire officials there were 13 other departments on scene to help provide water and assistance to fight the fire. Fortunately, it was reported that no one was injured. The fire is currently under investigation.

Friday Night you can step back in time and experience the calm and joy of the magic of Christmas at the Lighting of the Heritage Village in Mountain Lake. Christmas at the Village is from 5-7pm. You can take pictures with Santa, take a horse drawn wagon ride, listen to Christmas Music as you stroll through the Village and see all the beautiful lights. There is no reason to be alone on Thanksgiving and not have a delicious meal with community connection. There are several area churches in different communities that will be sponsoring a Thanksgiving Meal.
In Windom– The Lutheran Church of Our Savior is having their Community Thanksgiving Day Dinner on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd and everyone is invited. Dinner will be served from 11am to 1pm. Come experience the fellowship while enjoying a traditional meal of Turkey and Dressing, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Vegetables, Roll, Dessert, and a Beverage. This is free to the community, but a Free Will Donation would be accepted. A Thanksgiving Morning Worship Service will be held prior to the start of the meal at 10am if you would like to participate. The Lutheran Church of Our Savior is located at 1157 3rd Ave in Windom. Take-out meals are available but there will be no deliveries.
In Jackson– Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will be having a Thanksgiving Community Meal at 11:30am at 614 Logan Ave in Jackson. There is no cost, and everyone is invited. In Mountain Lake– Bethel Mennonite Church located at 301 N 9th Street right across the street from the City Park, will be having a Thanksgiving Meal from 5:30-6:30pm. They invite everyone to attend for good food and fellowship.
