Election results are as follows:
- Mountain Lake-The Referendum that would have increased the revenue authorization per pupil, for Mt Lake Public Schools- Failed with 224 voting yes and 281 voting no. Elected to the Mountain Lake School Board are: Tom Fast, Carolyn Karschnik, Ramont Harder Schrock and Chad Pedersen.
- Butterfield District 836 Special Election for School Board Member Valerie Ommodt won with 86% of the vote.
- Westbrook Walnut Grove District 2898 Special Election for School Board Member- Tyler Hansen won with 70 votes according to Westbrook Walnut Grove Superintendent Loy Woelber.

Windom Police Department reported on the 6th at approximately 12:45am an officer was patrolling south on Highway 71 when they observed a vehicle cross over the fog line. After initiating a traffic stop at the intersection of HWY 71 and County Road 26, the driver was identified as a 16-year-old male from Jackson and the officer smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. After investigation, it was determined that the juvenile had used marijuana, the parent was contacted, and the information will be sent to his probation officer in Jackson County.

Windom Area High School will be presenting their Fall Musical, “Catch Me if You Can” with opening night on November 16th and shows to follow on the 17th and 18th in the Windom Area High School Lecture Hall. Each show will be at 7pm. It is to be noted that there will not be a matinee show this year. “Catch Me if You Can” is based on the unbelievable true story of one of the most famous con artists in history, Frank Abagnale Jr., Catch Me If You Can is a rousing musical set in the 1960s. the play begins as Frank is captured by Agent Carl Hanratty, after years of pursuit. Frank, however, thinks the audience deserves to hear his version of the truth, and narrates his life as a hip, dance-heavy variety television show. You will see Frank, as a teenager, run away from his unhappy home to live a life of great adventure, conning people by assuming a multitude of identities: airplane pilot, doctor, and lawyer, to name a few. This is a fast, rollicking musical that tells the tale of an ingenious, yet lonely, boy looking for his place in the world. Tickets are on sale now and are $10 each. The Windom American Legion Post 206 and Ladies Legion Auxiliary will be holding their 37th Annual Veteran’s Day Program on November 10th at 9:30am at the Windom Area High School. The program is packed with Music, a 5th Grade Flag Presentation, Presentation by Boys and Girls State Representatives, Pam Krill a retired Air Force Veteran will be the guest speaker followed by the honoring 50-year American Legion Post 206 Members and honoring Post 206 Members and Taps to be performed to honor deceased members. The program will end with the Retirement of Colors. Everyone is welcome to attend. This Friday November 10th at 9:30am at Windom Area High School.
