Let’s face it there are things in life that just don’t go our way. We get up in the morning and are faced with how we are going to approach the day and those that we encounter. We may think that being cold and despondent or rude and uncooperative makes us feel more powerful BUT it doesn’t. What does it achieve? Distrust, the desire to alienate, and giving other people a pretty crappy day. There is a phrase that I learned many years ago, it is stop “Icking my Wow!”… It is a phrase that has been used many times in my life and household. It is that instant when someone bursts your bubble or says something that takes the reality or enthusiasm out of any type of conversation, event, or moment. The reality of it all is words DO MATTER. If you know you have a good thing, why say you don’t? Why cause the drama if it isn’t necessary? Why cast all your discontent on others just because you can? Why lie or try to make yourself look better than what you truly are? Stop Icking the Wow of Life. Be joyful for waking up every day, believe me I know what hurt, desperation, unhealthy, unfair, and unbelievable looks like but if we just look for something positive in EVERY situation, things just seem to work out. Have you ever considered looking at a situation you are fighting in a different light? Do you look at all sides before you lash out? Do you really take into consideration what the other side of the coin has done, said, and is doing or has done for you in the past? TODAY is National Give Someone a Dollar Day. No strings attached. Give a dollar to someone you know give a dollar to someone you don’t know, give a dollar to someone who appears to be in need or deserves it, or doesn’t… IT IS JUST A FUN gesture… Surprise everyone and just hand them a dollar… I bet that you will feel better, and I can almost guarantee the person getting the dollar is going to feel elated and joyful. It’s also National Sandwich Day… How cool is it that you could give people a sandwich too… The sandwich is a stand-alone awesome invention. Whether you just through a slice of cheese or peanut butter in-between two slices or you create the world’s best creation… A sandwich always cures a craving, hunger, and brings comfort.
