It’s Friday… Made it through the week and I am sitting here in my Purple ready to celebrate SPORT PURPLE for Platelets Day! Whaaaat???? You are saying what the heck is that? Well, let me tell you… Your body is compromised of so many intricate pieces and one of those helpful things are Platelets. If you are one of the lucky ones, you have just enough not too many and not to little. Sport Purple for Platelets Day supports those suffering from Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) it’s a disease that causes excessive bleeding, bruising and fatigue due to low levels of platelets (cells that enable blood to clot). Unfortunately, there are many unknowns about ITP- what causes it or how to fully cure it.  So, get out the purple and support ITP sufferers.

It’s National Coffee Day too… I KNOW a LOT of coffee fanatics out there… Me I am a creamer lover with a splash of coffee BUT I will celebrate the bean that brings the focus to so many people each morning.  And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention a shout out to VFW DAY! This is a day for us to commemorate the hard work and sacrifice of veteran men and women who have selflessly served the United States of America. ‘V.F.W.’ stands for ‘Veterans of Foreign Wars,’ an organization established to support past and present American service members who have served in foreign wars, expeditions, or campaigns. I tip my hat to all service men and women and pray for your safety and thank you for your service so that I can live in this beautiful Nation. God Bless America.
