Did you know that Little Miss Minnesota is from Cottonwood County and making her way to represent at Nationals in Wisconsin Dells? Kaydance Moser will be representing Minnesota at the American Little Miss Pageant in the age group 8- and 9-year-olds. Kaydance is on a mission to raise funds for the local food pantries and animal food shelter while also raising funds to go to Nationals. Kaydance has a heart of gold and when asked, said she loves to help people and animals, she really wants to raise awareness of the need food shelters provide and knows many who the food shelf has helped in more ways than one and wants to give back to them and help people in need. As for the Animal Shelter Kaydance absolutely loves all animals but cats are her favorite and it would be her dream to save all the animals in the world. Kaydence’s goal is to raise $1,000 and she is starting with a Hotdog Stand outside of Hair With Flair (1375 1st Ave N, Windom) on Thursday August 10th from 11-1. She will be selling Hot Dogs for $2, Lemonade for $1 OR a meal of a hotdog, chips, and lemonade for $5. There will also be snacks for 50 cents each! Little Miss is part of the American Little Miss Pageant which represents all ages up to 18. They represent inner beauty and the will to show girls they can do anything. Kaydance competed at the State Pageant in April in Burnsville MN where there were girls from all over the state of Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. At this time, she will be competing against four other girls in her age division, but that number could change by the time of the competition. Kaydance will compete in formal wear, introduction, on stage question, casual wear, glamor wear, state costume and personality wear. I asked Kaydance, which was her favorite and she replied, it’s all her favorite because each area of competition she gets to show a different part of herself. It takes a lot of practice and the ability to be yourself along with having all the outfits and shoes. Kaydance needs the community’s support to help make her dreams and aspirations come true. If you would like to meet this exceptional little girl, come out on the 10th and meet her. KDOM wishes her the best of luck and looks forward to having a hotdog on Thursday from 11-1 at Hair With Flair Parking lot! If you aren’t hungry, you can still donate to her cause.
